PLANTING
* Bearded irises. Now is the best time to set out rhizomes of bearded irises. Plant in full sun (or light afternoon shade in hottest climates) and fast-draining soil. Set rhizomes 1 to 2 feet apart, and plant deep enough so the tops will be barely covered with soil.
