What exactly does quality management in research mean? This remains a question frequently asked by managers and staff of industrial research laboratories. Surrounding business functions like marketing, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and even development and engineering, are--sometimes enthusiastically--engaged in quality programs. They do not seem to experience the difficulties Research has in answering the aforementioned question for their own function.
