Letter-writer Michael Steinberg is correct when he states that conservatives love big business, but he needs to get his facts straight regarding the latest eminent domain case in Connecticut.

In Kelo v. City of New London, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the city could seize private property for private development. The five Supreme Court justices voting in favor were Stevens, Kennedy, Souter, Ginsburg and Breyer. The first three are hardly conservatives, while the latter two were appointed by Bill Clinton. In dissent were O'Connor, Rehnquist, Scalia, and Thomas (the latter two the only true conservative justices).
