Jamie Moyer will take the mound in search of his 200th victory tonight against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
That would seem to be quite an accomplishment for the 42-year-old who played for five teams in nine years before his career was revived with a trade to Seattle in 1996.
"No, not really," Moyer said of the significance of winning his 200th game.
Milestones don't matter much to Moyer these days, but his 199th career victory Sunday against Texas meant a lot to the left-hander, not because it got him closer to No. 200 but because it helped the Mariners snap a seven-game losing streak.
