WRCA moves into bead wire business
Wire Rope Corp. of America Inc. has bought Mexican wire producer Aceros Camesa S.A. de C.V., whose production capabilities include tire bead wire at a plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico.
The purchase, for an undisclosed price, puts St. Joseph, Mo.-based WRCA into the bead wire business, a spokesman said.
Camesa sells bead wire in Mexico only, and WRCA did not comment specifically on its plans for this business, other than it intends to continue selling the product.
