"The way access features have been seamlessly integrated into the park's design truly sets the standard for frill inclusion of people with disabilities," says Karen Tamley, Chicago Mayor's Office for People With Disabilities (MOPD) commissioner, about Millennium Park.
The facility opened on July 16, 2004, to much fanfare. Comprising 24.5 acres and costing approximately $475 million, Millennium Park is located on Michigan Avenue, in downtown Chicago, slightly north of The Art Institute.
