You already know how much I enjoy making and eating pizza. Figuring out how to bake-up a great tasting, lower-calorie, low-fat pizza at home, faster than a delivery service can get it to my door has been an ongoing quest.
Recently, a magazine article about homemade grilled pizza, piqued my interest. At first blush it seemed impossible on more than one level: raw dough sticking to the grill, cheese dripping into the fire and onto grill surfaces.
Yet if I could grill pizza outdoors, then I wouldn't have to crank my indoor home oven up to 450 degrees, which I rarely like to do.
