Jul. 13--Erie County government will soon seek proposals from underwriters for the issuance of as much as $32 million in debt.

County Council unanimously authorized the action at its regular meeting Tuesday night at Springhill Senior Living, 2323 Edinboro Road.

The county is planning to issue bonds to raise money for a variety of projects, including construction of a $14.5 million public safety building.

The underwriter will sell the bonds to investors.

Council is still deciding which projects will be funded with the bond issue. The total amount could be less than $32 million. Council will have to give ...
