Jul. 13--GARDEN GROVE -- City leaders will consider a committee's recommendation to pursue a resort and casino along Harbor Boulevard but are not saying if or when they will move forward with the project.

The budget committee presented its ideas to the City Council on Tuesday night as part of a strategy to close Garden Grove's looming budget gap. The resort casino plan and aggressive redevelopment along the Harbor Corridor were the group's top ideas to help make up a projected $6.7 million deficit in 2007-08.
