New Delhi, Jul 14 (PTI) The Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committe has urged the Union and the Delhi government to increase the strength of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee to square with the present Sikh population in the capital.
SGPC member Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, in a release Thursday, said the strength of the capital's Sikh body be increased from the present 46 to 70, to bring it at par with the strength of the state assembly.
"It was in 1971 that the Delhi Sikh body's strength was fixed at 46 at par with the Metropolitan Council Membership.
