SEOUL, July 18 Asia Pulse - North Korean leader Kim Jong-il met the head of a South Korean conglomerate which is widely involved in business with the communist country, the North's media said Saturday.

North Korea's Central Television Station said only that the leader and Hyun Jeong-eun, head of the Hyundai Group exchanged "warm chats."

It gave no other details, including when the meeting was held but Hyundai later said that the meeting took place at the North's eastern port city of Wonsan on Saturday.
