Forget the squeals and protests of the Mac diehards - last month's news of Apple's move to the Intel platform marks a major turning point in the PC industry. It's exactly what's needed to breathe some new life into a sector stifled of innovation.
What's more, Apple is absolutely right to state from the outset that Mac OSX will only run on Apple hardware - in fact that's one of the keys to the whole shebang in my view.
