The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has two conceptual studies under way to examine using PAC-3 and the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missiles on aircraft, senior MDA officials said.
Not only would this potentially expand the battle space, but also could increase aircraft mission flexibility, officials told Defense Daily in an interview.
