Jul. 18--Despite pay raises for the upcoming year, professors at Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma will still make less money on average than professors at most other Big 12 universities.
OSU-Tulsa President Gary Trennepohl thinks that comes down to two reasons: Oklahoma is poorer than other states, and the state has "never really made a big commitment to higher education."
