Article: 38 Youths Invited to PA State Police Honor Camp; Program Builds Leadership Skills, Teaches About Police Work, State Government.

HARRISBURG, Pa., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Thirty-eight young people from across the state have been invited to learn about PA State Police operations at the Commissioner's Honor Camp next week at the State Police Academy in Hershey, Dauphin County, Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller announced today.

The cadets, ages 13 to 16, were selected from among more than 1,500 boys and girls who participated in two dozen local Camp Cadet programs across the state last year. Miller said the Honor Camp program was created in 1998 by former Commissioner Paul J. Evanko, in part to reward the top cadets from the various Camp Cadet programs.
