Jul. 16--Wheeler Basin Regional Library Director Sandy Sherman told the Morgan County Commission on Friday that problems with other libraries leaving the system stemmed from past management.
Despite her explanation, the commission agreed to lower the library's allotment from $119,000 to $89,012.
Sherman was responding to the commission's concern about the recent pullout of Hartselle's library and past departures of libraries in Limestone and Lawrence counties from the Wheeler Basin system.
She said high fees that a past director established caused Limestone and Lawrence to leave.
