Jul. 20--An aging West Ashley shopping center will soon get a face-lift and some new, health-oriented tenants.
The center, Pinepoint Plaza, is located in a busy corridor off S.C. Highway 61, near Paul Cantrell Boulevard. It's now home to a post office and a liquor store.
But a large portion of the plaza has been vacant since its anchor tenant, a Winn-Dixie supermarket, closed last summer, leaving behind 40,000 square feet of empty space. Radio station 96 Wave also moved out last year.
The supermarket site will be shared by two tenants: a fitness center and a medical practice. Both businesses are expected to open ...
