Article: As bailout talks resume, med center says it's improving.(Westchester Medical Center)

As Westchester Medical Center remained just over halfway toward its stated $100 million survival goal this year, hospital representatives joined state lawmakers and aides to Gov. George E. Pataki last week in resuming talks toward the bailout package they failed to hammer out while the Legislature was in session.

The medical center says it can hold out through the summer, and even beyond, for its financial answer from Albany, after projecting last week that it would have enough cash on hand to last through this year.
