Ukraine backs Japan as permanent member of UN Security Council, says Yuschenko
Tokyo, July 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko says Ukraine backs Japan's bid for permanent membership of the UN Security Council.
"We, together with Japan, back the plan for reforming the UN Security Council. Our stand is that the changes in Japan in the past 30-40 years give the country the right to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
