Much of the food at the Middle Eastern Cultural Festival this weekend is the genuine article, prepared from scratch by women from St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.
Arabic music will fill the air throughout the festival as dancers - young and younger - show off traditional Arabic dances and jewelry and other exotic items are sold inside the church.
But food is the staple.
There's Syrian bread, grape leaves, taboulleh (salad) and humus (chickpea spread) to go with some of the entrees. And then there are the desserts, so sweet and so good.
