When Bill Clinton was elected to the Presidency, it was an historic occasion for the health care industry: He was the first President to have been elected with health care reform at very nearly the top of his agenda. Some voters told exit pollsters that it was number one or two on their agendas. Though acute care access was the specific health care reform most talked about, nursing homes are unlikely to escape the "excitement" of the next few years.
