Article: Astrophotography: the earth and sky connection.(Cover Story)

Astrophotography or "Night-sky photography" is what I love to do. Although I also shoot nature in general, "low-light photography" is my specialty. You may want to know why, and I would love to tell you. Night-sky photography is low-light imaging at its extreme. The astrophotographer is trying to capture or image subjects, most often astronomical in nature, that are billions of miles or even light-years away. It is very challenging to a camera's optics and for the person behind the camera, and I love a challenge!
