DALLAS _ The wrong No. 88 is headed for the Cowboys' Ring of Honor.
That's not to say that Michael Irvin hasn't earned his rightful place alongside the other elite Cowboys recognized at Texas Stadium. It's just that the Other 88 should have been recognized first.
Of all the outstanding Cowboys players from the 1970s era who have been overlooked in the Ring of Honor, Drew Pearson tops the list.
That's true, even if statistically it doesn't look that way.
