Neighbors call them the "Dirty Diamonds,"- two brothers who spent their teens as sex offenders, terrorizing women - violent behavior they continued to manifest as adults, according to a Herald review of their records.

But the siblings, both registered Level 3 sex offenders, were able to spend most of their adulthood living in the basement of their mother's house at 7 Boyden St. in Dorchester, separated only by brief stints in state prisons after convictions for rape, assault and even, in one brother's case, accessory to murder.
