NBB HEAD REPORTS TO PRESIDENT ON BYR STRENGTH

The Belarusian ruble has grown stronger against the currencies of the country's basic trade partners within H1 2005, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Belarus Petr Prokopovich reported to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Monday.

Interfax learnt from the press service of the Belarusian leader, the Belarusian ruble grew 1% stronger against the US dollar,

3.7% stronger against the Russian ruble, 12.3% stronger against the euro.
