I AM a father-of-four with three children old enough to frequent the city centre at night.
Thankfully, they have never been the victim of a drink-fuelled attack but like every other parent I worry about them getting home safely.
We often hear stories about people being hurt and not a Monday goes by without reading in the press that somebody was attacked.
The idea of me saying the city centre is not safe is not to create atmosphere of fear but to point out that people do often feel safer in their own communities.
There is a culture of binge drinking in the city centre on a Friday and Saturday night which intimidates people, and we need ...
