Residents of the Allied Drive neighborhood are looking for work.
Hundreds of them flocked to a job fair Monday where some 40 local employers were on hand - in the sweltering former SuperSaver grocery store slated for demolition - to accept applications.
The job fair was hosted by developer Gorman and Co. as part of an agreement with neighborhood residents who had sought guarantees of jobs when Gorman purchased the former grocery with the assistance of the city to redevelop the site as housing.
