Jul. 27--A Florida company that operates the golf course at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum wants to build vacation condominiums on land available for development -- though not for sale -- at the state-owned tourist attraction.
The Ginn Co. publicly unveiled its proposal Tuesday before the Patriots Point Development Authority, which owns the land.
The board did not vote on the matter, but it asked its attorney to explore whether it should consider making such an unprecedented deal.
In the past, the authority has only considered renting its prime land holdings under long-term leases. Any sale would ...
