Gregg LaVoie had always been tagged as one of those "potential" guys.
He came to Oregon as a prep champion and the youngest golfer to ever qualify for a BUY.com Tour event, in addition to having the bloodlines of a former Duck standout.
After two up-and-down seasons, LaVoie finally turned his potential into production this year, garnering all-American honors while placing 24th at the NCAA Championships last month.
Today, LaVoie gets the chance to improve upon his career year during a U.S. Amateur sectional qualifying tournament at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell.
