They say Luther Vandross would have been pleased and proud.
His funeral service at New York's Riverside Church had all the things that mattered most to him, his family, friends and fans say.
It was a real joyous celebration, a real reflection of the soul singer's life. It was upbeat, colorful, elegant, musical and even funny at times. At the same time, it was spiritually centered and inspiring.
And any Luther Vandross celebration would not be complete without a few of his favorite divas. And they were there to celebrate him--Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Patti LaBelle and Cissy Houston.
