DUTCH rail infrastructure manager, Prorail's, ambitions to manage the Betuwe route dedicated freight line have been rejected by the country's parliament.
The transport minister had planned to award the contract to Prorail, but the Dutch parliament wants the contract to run the 160km freight line from the port of Rotterdam to the German border at Zevenaar-Emmerich to be tendered out to other organisations.
