BEIJING, July 29 Asia Pulse - After rocketing to a peak at the end of June this year, the tungsten concentrate price in China witnessed an abrupt plunge of nearly 40 per cent within a month, ending a period of crazy rise since early 2004.

By late July, the price of tungsten concentrates had plummeted to 82,000-87,000 yuan per ton, from the peak of over 130,000 yuan (US$16,000) in June.

The tungsten concentrate price fall also extended to APT and ferro tungsten prices.

In fact, the latest round of tungsten concentrates price hike started from 2002. The average price rose to 24,067 yuan per ton in 2003 with a growth of 19.6 per cent from 20,123 ...
