While college football fans are still euphoric or grieving over the results of the bowl games - Sugar, Orange, Cotton, Rose, Fiesta, Citrus, Blockbuster and Hall of Fame - it might be time to consider, given the millions they bring in to their universities, whether college football players, as some are demanding, should have a labor union. Should they be paid a fair salary? And last, how the devil did big-time, big-money sports ever get connected with American education to begin with?
