Employers throughout the food chain, from farmers and growers to retailers and caterers, are to get top-level help to simplify the introduction of new workplace safety rules that come into effect next year.
The five food-industry sector skills councils (SSCs)--the new government-backed organisations introduced to drive higher productivity through skills--have formed the Food Chain Skills Group to work on issues affecting the entire food and drink industry.
