In Las Vegas, a city known for flashy debuts, home furnishings takes center stage this week with the hotly anticipated start of what's being billed as the largest trade show launch in the United States and the biggest first-time event for the furniture industry.
With 1,200 exhibitors filling 2.5 million square feet of space in two locations, organizers say the Las Vegas Market goes well beyond furniture to include hundreds of manufacturers of home accessories, rugs, lighting, textiles and mattresses.
