OVER the years, I've been lucky enough to visit Austria a few times to go snowboarding - but never once have I come across anybody legitimately wearing lederhosen.
Yet here I am, sitting in a shack halfway up a mountain as a couple of leather-shortwearing locals brandish a glass of schnapps in my direction.
A grinning accordion player is cranking his way through his favourite local drinking songs, while two of my party are being whirled around the room by Peter, a local hunter and mountain guide who is acting as Master of Ceremonies and borderline sex pest. And this is before we've even finished the first course.
