AS THE Abbey Theatre falls apart under massive financial losses, the original building lies in a Dublin front garden, begging to be rebuilt.
The Abbey bricks were saved by former Dublin City architect, the late Daithi Hanly and for 40 years have graced the garden of his Dalkey home.
But now it might be curtains for the architectural curiosity, as his family could be forced to part with the 200 tonne theatre treasure... because of a lack of official interest.
