WildBlue, the satellite broadband vendor, has announced the commercial launch of its Kaband satellite service from June 1, 2005. The company is a pioneer in the service and is offering it at prices comparable to DSL or cable. The first customer of the service will be a subscriber of Bijou Telephone Cooperative, a rural cooperative phone service.
