Anne of Green Gables stamp: Martha Shea revisited/updated.

In 1973, Martha Shea lived with her parents, Norma and Leonard Shea, in Lindsay, Ontario (a town about 30 miles north-east from Leaskdale, LM Montgomery's manse residence / family home during the period from 1911-1926) and the Shea family cottage was located in the Kawartha Lakes district. One afternoon, Martha, age 13, was Martha age 13 walking with some friends through the woods at Sturgeon Point, where she was observed by Peter Swan, a prominent Toronto artist who had been commissioned to design a postage stamp commemorating LM Montgomery for the 100th anniversary of her birth (1874).
