Moody's Investors Service recently confirmed nine hospital revenue bond ratings and upgraded one issuer following a comprehensive review of 10 hospitals in Washington State with total debt outstanding of $156.5 million.
The upgrade, to Baa1 from Baa, affects Stevens Memorial Hospital, operated by Snohomish County Public Hospital District No. 2, and applies to $7.8 million of debt.
"A new management team's refocus on physician recruitment has increased patient volume and contributed to its significantly improved financial performance and cash position." Moody's said of Stevens Memorial in a release earlier this month.
