When Grayslake teen Mary McClure was 3 years old, she dreamed of winning a pageant at the county fair.
On Wednesday night, that dream came true when McClure, 13, beat 24 other pageant contestants to take home the title of 2005 Junior Miss Lake County Fair.
"It has been a long time waiting for this," said McClure, a soon-to-be eighth-grader at St. Gilbert School in Grayslake. "I have wanted this title since I was 3."
