A range of Welsh caves, which has become an almost compulsory destination for school trips, has landed the title of Britain's Finest Natural Wonder. The National Showcaves of Wales at Dan-yr-Ogof has won a 'David versus the Goliaths' battle against some of the UK's most famous landmarks.
It beat off competition for the honour from the likes of the White Cliffs of Dover, Cheddar Gorge, Loch Lomond and the Giant's Causeway.
