Article: Clooney flick fronts New York film fest.

LOS ANGELES _ Less than a week after nabbed a coveted competition spot at the upcoming Venice Film Festival, George Clooney's "Good Night, and Good Luck" has been tapped to open the 43rd New York Film Festival.

Expect Clooney to be racking up the frequent flyer miles to promote his second directorial effort. The Venice competition runs from Aug. 31 to Sept. 10, which should allow him plenty of time to recover from jetlag before the Sept. 22 NYFF launch at Lincoln Center. The NYFF will then run from Sept. 23 to Oct. 9.
