The posters used to advertise this year's Oregon Festival of American Music were made in the 1920s by Roger Broders, a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
Broders, who was employed by the PLM railways from 1920 to 1930, brought the style of Art Deco to the streets and stations of Europe. His use of bold colors and stunning images make him one of the foremost artists of the Deco era.
