Dear Grandmother. Zorba is at it again. She's fat as a sow.
I threw her into the basement, I diapered her, and now she's
nosing around the sump-pump. I feed her through an eye-
dropper. I feed directly into her neck. I've changed her
prescription. Into each of seven blue surgeon's cups,
I count twenty-two pills.
An iron pill. It is spring green and slips like a slim pen from
Grandfather's apoplectic ...
