Limited cattle supplies and restricted foreign markets are forcing beef processors to make some tough decisions. But rather than allow markets to dictate more drastic measures, two of the industry's largest private companies--American Foods Group Inc., Green Bay, Wis., and Rosen Meat Group Inc., Alexandria, Minn.--announced plans to merge by September to form American Foods Group LLC.
