Talk about a surprise. On the first day 8-year-old Jessica Jarosz of Arlington Heights could leave her hospital room, she found one of the Cubs players standing outside her door.
Will Ohman, the 27-year-old left-handed reliever for the Cubs, was on hand last week with a horde of media and marketing officials, just waiting to meet patients at Northwest Community Hospital's pediatric unit.
Jessica was the first one. Still attached to the intravenous unit she needed to replenish her dehydration, she shyly walked out to the hallway with her mother, Marti.
