Aug. 3--Among the many development and roadway projects under way along Veterans Boulevard in Charlotte County, none are more massive than Lakes of Tuscana.
The 20-building luxury apartment complex covers 20 acres -- and includes a 20-acre lake -- on the south side of Veterans just beyond Kings Highway.
Huge cranes and earth movers are on site now, along with mounds of dirt and sand, tons of concrete and about 100 workers. The two-story wood, block and stucco structures have tile roofs and are being built from the front of the complex to the back.
