Aug. 3--Ray Vinson is back on the air, lending his distinctive voice to commercials promoting American Equity Mortgage. But you won't find him on the radio dial.
For the first time, Vinson is starring in television commercials. A series of ads in which he's heard, but not seen, began running Tuesday on KTVI (Channel 2), and were to begin, a Vincent spokeswoman said, on KPLR (Channel 11) and KDNL (Channel 30).
Whether the commercials will stay on the air remains in doubt; they don't come with the endorsement of Maryland Heights-based American Equity Mortgage.
