I always wonder why more people don't visit cemeteries on their summer vacations.
When I stopped at Buffalo's Forest Lawn Cemetery earlier this month, I had a splendid time.
I dallied at the final resting place of President Millard Fillmore, posed for a photo at Alfred Southwick's marker (be patient, more about him later) and stood in the scorching sun trying to appreciate a weird Frank Lloyd Wright creation.
Not far from the Wright-designed mausoleum was the grave of Buffalo's greatest gift to the world.
No, not the inventor of Buffalo wings.
Willis Carrier.
